  • Photo ID — driver’s license or another government-issued ID
  • Insurance card — if you’d like us to bill insurance
  • Medication list — prescriptions and over-the-counter
  • Previous dental records — recent X-rays if available
  • Questions or concerns — anything you want to talk about

Arriving 10 minutes early helps us get you started on time.

Comfort First

Judgment-Free, Calm, Comfortable

Dental anxiety is real. We get it. Many of our patients tell us they put off a visit for years before finding us — and we’re glad they did.

At Coastal Dental Group, your comfort sets the pace. We adjust to your needs, explain each step, and never rush. There’s no judgment about how long it’s been or what’s happened in the past. We’re only focused on what happens next.

  • Pace adjustments and breaks as needed
  • Calm, quiet treatment rooms
  • Clear, plain-language explanations
  • Friendly check-ins throughout your visit

Questions

Common First-Visit Questions

Quick answers to help you plan your appointment.

How long will my first visit take?
First visits typically run 45–75 minutes depending on whether X-rays and a cleaning are included.
Do you treat children?
Yes. Coastal Dental Group sees patients of all ages, including children, teens, adults, and seniors.
What if I have dental anxiety?
Tell us in advance. We will take extra time to explain each step and adjust pace and comfort as needed.
What if I don’t have recent X-rays?
No problem. We can take low-radiation digital X-rays as part of your exam when appropriate.
Will I get a cleaning at my first visit?
In many cases yes — but if a deeper cleaning is more appropriate, we’ll explain why and schedule the right type of visit.
